I came to Environmental Initiative and the Midwest Row Crop Collaborative (MRCC) with a background in climate resilience-building, rural organizing, and public engagement. I grew up in a rural community in southeastern Minnesota, where I built my first connections to local farms and a deep appreciation for our natural resources.
As the Senior Program Manager for the MRCC, I engage with actors across the value chain. Through their shared work, MRCC demonstrates that our food systems can indeed offer solutions to some of our today’s pressing environmental challenges. By leveraging the expertise, knowledge, and creativity of our members, we can protect our water, build healthier soils, increase climate health, and support farm families.
I appreciate the spirit of open collaboration, pursuit of new perspectives, and focused investment in relationships that are so crucial to the Collaborative’s work and look forward to deepening and expanding partnerships in order to drive systems change in the days to come.
