Environmental Initiative is open to working with so many different groups and individuals. It’s inspiring to be a part of something that is trying to work with others for the greater good.

I began my career with Environmental Initiative more than nine years ago, and I felt the organization spoke directly to me. I truly enjoy building relationships and figuring out how we can bring the best out in each other. Similarly, Environmental Initiative has the unique ability to pull diverse people together to arrive at a common understanding.

My high school science teacher helped me develop my love for science. That same teacher also taught me that you need relationships to do the work you want to do. “You can’t just be in the lab hiding away, you have to be out talking with people about what’s happening around us to have a thriving ecosystem,” my science teacher said.

As I look back on my years with Environmental Initiative, I would love my legacy to be that I made the earth a better place to live, and I made people feel welcome and that they belong – no matter where they are.
