Cumulative impacts co-learning watch party with Clean Air Minnesota

March 26 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

1 – 2:30 p.m. – Streaming MPCA co-learning conversation
2:30 – 3 p.m. – Informal conversation

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is hosting the second co-learning conversation about implementing Minnesota’s new cumulative impact law on Tuesday, March 26. This series of presentations from outside experts will set the stage for interactive engagement over the summer. By watching and discussing this conversation together, we aim to learn from each other—across sectors—and share our feedback and takeaways with the MPCA.

This session’s panelists will discuss the different contents of a cumulative impacts analysis, including what datasets they could require, the criteria or benchmarks that may be used to enact them for future permitting projects, and ideas for incorporating community feedback into the process.

Panelists will include:

  • Sandra Whitehead, Program Director, George Washington University – Sustainable Urban Planning Program
  • Karin McGowan, Commissioner, Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission

Popcorn provided.

Please email Eben Kowler if you are interested in attending so that the team can plan ahead.
