Roots for the Future summer intern

Do you care about your community and the environment? Want to explore cool careers and make a difference this summer?
Join Roots for the Future, a paid youth internship program focused on environmental justice, leadership, and career exploration. You’ll meet new people, take fun field trips, work on hands-on projects, and learn how to create change in your neighborhood.
What You’ll Do:
- Learn about climate change, water, trees, and the environment.
- Go on field trips to explore nature and environmental jobs.
- Get training in leadership and advocacy.
- Work on a team project to help your community.
- Meet professionals in environmental careers.
No experience needed — just curiosity, commitment, and a passion for learning!
Program Dates: July 7–Aug. 14, 2025
Time: Monday–Thursday, 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
Location: Black Youth Arts Healing Center, with field trips around Minneapolis and St. Paul
Stipend: $20 per hour
Who can apply: Minneapolis and Saint Paul youth, ages 13–18.
