Give to the Max Day Getaway
Last Thursday, we celebrated Give to the Max Day in a somewhat unconventional way: with a happy hour. If you’re not familiar with Give to the Max Day, it’s a state-wide day of giving for in Minnesota that often involves extensive marketing and elaborate campaigns. Instead of vying for attention among every other nonprofit and school in the state, we decided to take the day to step back and deepen our relationships.
Casual events like our Give to the Max Day Getaway at 56 Brewing are important to us because they give us a chance to build partnerships, which are the foundation of all our work. As we look into 2019, we want to continue to that—and host events! With your support, our events can get bigger and better, and our partnerships will, too.
At this gathering, we brought together former, current and future members, partners and board members to get to know one another. Supporters of all our programs were able to reminisce about projects they’ve been involved with, while also looking ahead and discussing ideas for what we all should work on next. We’ve always said people drive our work, and that was clear at this event. We also always love the chance to unwind among friends after a long day.
If you were able to join us, thank you! We appreciated you taking time out of your day to spend time with us, and we hope we’ll see you at more events like this in the future. If you weren’t able to come to this event, we hope to see you at the next one.
