Event Registration Policies


Pre-registration for Environmental Initiative events is required. This allows our staff to plan for materials, room setup, and catering. Event registration typically closes one week prior to the event date.

Limited walk-in registrations are available for most events. Please pre-register to ensure your participation.

Need-based scholarships

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for our events upon request. Scholarships are intended for students, those experiencing financial hardship, or individuals attending independent of their employer.

Refunds and substitutions

If you are no longer able to attend an event, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. If possible, please contact Lillie Benowitz at 612-334-3388 ext. 8107 to let us know who will be attending. Otherwise, please let staff know on the day of the event at the registration table.

If you can no longer attend and need to cancel, contact Lillie Benowitz at 612-334-3388 ext. 8107 by 12:00 p.m. the day before the event and a refund will be issued to you. If you do not cancel by the deadline, you will be charged the registration fee.

Photos and recordings

Environmental Initiative may take photographs or record videos at events for promotional or educational purposes. By registering for an event, you agree to be photographed, included in video footage, or otherwise captured for Environmental Initiative’s promotional purposes.
