Event Registration Policies


Pre-registration for Environmental Initiative events is required. This allows our staff to plan for materials, room setup and catering. Event registration typically closes one week prior to the event date.

Limited walk-in registrations are available for most events. Please pre-register to ensure your participation.

Need-Based Scholarships

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for our events upon request. Scholarships are intended for students, those experiencing financial hardship or individuals attending independent of their employer.

Refunds and Substitutions

If you are no longer able to attend an event, you are encouraged to send someone in your place. If possible, please contact Rachel Geissinger at 612-334-3388 ext. 8122 to let us know who will be attending. Otherwise, please let staff know on the day of the event at the registration table.

If you can no longer attend and need to cancel, contact Rachel Geissinger at 612-334-3388 ext. 8122 by 12:00 p.m. the day before the event and a refund will be issued to you. If you do not cancel by the deadline, you will be charged the registration fee.

The Environmental Initiative Awards is an exception due to the nature of the event. If you are unable to attend, please let us know of the person(s) who will take your place. If you need to cancel, contact Rachel Geissinger at 612-334-3388 ext. 8122 by 12:00 p.m. on May 10, 2019, and a refund will be issued. Cancellations beyond this deadline may not be eligible for a refund.

Photos and Recordings

Environmental Initiative may take photographs or record videos at events for promotional or educational purposes. By registering for an event, you agree to be photographed, included in video footage or otherwise captured for Environmental Initiative’s promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please contact Rachel Geissinger so we may accommodate your request.
