I am drawn to Environmental Initiative’s willingness to have hard conversations that don’t lead to clear outcomes, but are necessary to evolve past the current painful and unjust reality of our world.  Our prioritization of relationships really resonates with me. Relationships require empathy and that is a radical concept. Living and farming in a rural area for years has led me to understand how equity and environmentalism are intricately linked. Where there is exploitation of people, there is exploitation of the environment.

If you are interested in getting involved in the work we do at Environmental Initiative, I encourage you to attend one of our in person or virtual events.
