policy forum series:
working together to achieve healthy waters

about the program

Minnesota has made significant investments to protect, preserve and restore the quality of our waters in recent years. How do we ensure that these efforts are implemented most efficiently and effectively, and that these investments continue to lead to cleaner water on a large scale?

At this forum, local government leaders discussed:

  • Activities on the ground that have achieved measurable improvements to our water resources
  • Barriers to achieving cleaner water in our communities and across the Minnesota landscape
  • What is needed at state and local levels to achieve our goals for clean and healthy water

Water quality practitioners and other stakeholders shared their experiences with those who develop and shape state water policy, and policy experts had the opportunity to reflect on successes, challenges and policy needs through dialogue with local leaders.
