policy forum Series:
Planning Minnesota's future energy infrastructure
about the program
Today's society increasingly depends on an abundant and reliable flow of electricity. Yet often unseen is the complex infrastructure that is needed to deliver this energy to our homes, workplaces and public spaces so seamlessly.
As we continue to place greater demand on our aging energy infrastructure, how can Minnesota meet its energy needs while protecting our environment and economy? What planning processes are currently underway, how can we best utilize new energy technologies and what is the role for innovative collaboration among stakeholders?
At this policy forum, state and national experts from business, advocacy, academic, utility and regulatory perspectives reviewed current energy infrastructure planning processes, discussed opportunities and implementation considerations for emerging technologies and shared insights on the policies and actions needed to create an energy infrastructure that will allow Minnesota's environment and economy to continue to prosper.
