BUSINESS & ENVIRONMENT SERIES: Socially responsible supply chains

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

As the importance of business sustainability grows over time, companies continue to find ways to expand the impacts of their efforts. While a keen focus has been placed
on the environmental and economic dimensions of sustainability for many years, businesses have begun exploring the social aspects of their efforts as well.
Increasingly, we see social factors built into supply chain operations when addressing issues like equity, human rights, and health. As social responsibility continues to grow globally, we can find some leading examples right here in Minnesota.

This session will focus on the ways that companies are addressing social issues within their supply
chains, and how they see those efforts as foundational for overall environmental sustainability.
Participants will hear from Minnesota businesses leading the way on socially sustainable supply chains while also hearing about challenges that lay ahead.

In this event, participants will:

•  Learn how leading businesses view the social dimensions of their supply chains as fundamental
   to their environmental sustainability
•  Explore case studies on what companies are currently doing to address impacts to human rights,
health, and wellbeing within their supply chains
•  Discuss the roles that social sustainability and human wellbeing play in your organization and
   strategies to address them
